WCICONFG.INI

The WCICONFG.INI is a file that goes in the root directory of where inTouch is installed.

It usually has

autoshutdown=1

in it and this automatically closes Windows when the program closes. If the customer doesn't want to close Windows it can be changed to

autoshutdown=0

On the server this is all that is usually there but on the terminals it can be used if an option on a terminal wants to be different from the option on the server.

For example if the sever has the cash drawer plugged into the receipt printer but a terminal is a Posiflex and has it connected to the dedicated cash drawer port locally in WCICONFG.INI on the terminal it would have the line

opt15=14

So this changes opt15 which is the cash drawer option to 14 on the drop down, which is Posiflex.

If the option is a tick box 0 is unticked and 1 is ticked. If the option is a drop down the top choice is 0 and then next is 1 etc.

If an option is a string of text rather that a tick box or a drop down STR and then the number is used.

For Example if the server has the takeaway button saying takeaway and the customer wants it to say collection on one of the terminals you can add the line

STR12=collection

to the WCICONFG.INI file on the terminal and restart the program and the takeaway button will now say collection on that screen.
