Hiding Choices within an Item
In this example I want to hide the Sauces when '2 Lemon & Dill Salmon' is selected
On inTouch first go to ‘Management’
Then ‘Occasional Menu’
Select the item where you want to hide a choice
You will then see ‘Details’ top right
Work out which choice number the Sauces are. In this example it is choice 3 (use the column number to help work it out)
In the Internet column select the item which needs the choice hidden
At the end of the text add '{-3}' this will hide choice 3
Then in the other options within the same choice add '{+3}' this will show choice 3
Once added click 'Finished'
And ‘Finished’ again
And 'Exit'
If you have Online Ordering with us it will ask you to ‘Upload Menu to Website’
Once uploaded to the website go and check the item. Here you can see 1/2 Roast Chicken is selected
If I select '2 Lemon & Dill Roasted Salmon' you can see the sauces are hidden
This means you have successfully hidden the choice.
How to add different bases for pizzas
On inTouch first go to ‘Management’
Then ‘Occasional Menu’
Go to 'Toppings 1'
Click on a blank topping
Click 'Yes' to create a new topping
The base needs to have * at the beginning. For example *Pizza Sauce
Top right click on 'Details'
In the 'Topping Details' box
If an existing base in toppings it is important that the 'Receipt Description' has the * before the text
Also, if the bases are chargeable set them to the correct 'Price Band'
It is important to select the base on the 'Stock Makeup' to allow to customers to swap the base if allowed
Once added click 'Finished'
And ‘Finished’ again
And 'Exit'
It will ask you to ‘Upload Menu to Website’
Enable the option 'StarToppingsAreBases'
If you don't have access to myInteger please call us.
Once you have done that go to the website. Select a pizza which you will then see 'Select item base'
Followed by the toppings
How to Put Pizza Sizes in Order
***InTouch must be on the latest version***
On inTouch first go to ‘Management’
Then ‘Occasional Menu’
Click on the pizza size. For example 'Medium Thin'
On the right in the 'Internet' box
In the 'Position' box enter the position number
This particular size appear sixth on the list
The Medium Thin pizza size is now sixth size down on the list
Do the same for each of the pizza size
Changing the "Select one option" text on choices.
To do this, make sure the item is set as "Table" and has the correct numbers within the Q2 column.
By default, this is what it will look like - notice how it says "Select one option":
To change this, it is done within the description box of an item. Navigate to this by clicking, Management > Occasional Menu > Menus
Click on the item you would like to have the choice text changed, and click the description box.
My example item has 5 choices: Main topping, Sides, Marinade, Sauce and Extras. Therefore, I would like my text for each choice to say:
- "Main"
- "Choose up to 3 Sides"
- "Choose a Marinade"
- "Any Sauces?"
- "Any Extras?"
This is what I put in the description box for this:
Start the line with " [++ " without using any spaces, separate the choices with " ; " and then put this " ] " at the end.
Something to note: The " ; " will drop anything following it down an option.
Once uploaded it will look like this:
And so on...
